Welcome Friend!

I’m Nathan Bryce, an eternally young-at-heart GenX brainchild dwelling in the scenic city of Orem, Utah. The majestic Mount Timpanogos looming above isn’t just a nifty hero images, it’s the view from my own backyard! I make a living by diving headfirst into topics that set off sparks of excitement in my mind, with a portfolio as diverse as original quirky anecdotes, intriguing puzzles, musings on the human condition, arguably terrible poetry, top secret family recipes, and unapologetic dives into often avoided topics like religion and politics. Also, I’ve earned my stripes as a certified anecdotist, so brace yourself for a torrent of humor and puns that might have you groaning as much as chuckling, much like my ever-tolerant friends and family.

This little corner of the internet, my blog, is the cozy fireplace where most of my freely available musings are gathered, although you’ll find splashes of my thoughts scattered across various social media landscapes. Fancy staying in the loop with my scribblings? You’re in the right place. Sign up and watch your inbox come alive with a weekly roundup of my latest posts. You’ll gain commenting privileges, and I strongly encourage you to use them—unless you enjoy the mysterious allure of the silent observer. However, let’s keep our chat room cozy and inviting. I’ll be the friendly neighborhood moderator making sure we’re all playing nice, even if it stings a bit. Your words, your choice—but I’ve got the publisher’s red pen.

In the business realm, I have a few sites where I’ve ventured into the world of content creation, specializing in delivering thoughtful, uplifting, and happiness-sparking content, designed to add that special touch to your personal and business interactions. From books and subscriptions to personality assessments, you’ll find a little something for everyone. As a husband, father, and grandfather, my prime directive is to keep the home fires burning. However, if you’d rather see my kin and me descend into a Dickensian struggle against life’s harsh realities, then by all means, cling to your coins. No hard feelings, promise!

Social Media

I have mixed feelings about the role of social media in our modern age. I view it as an amoral venue, which means it is neither good nor bad, but could be used for good or bad purposes. If you are someone who is quickly joining the crowd of sufferers who have replaced real human connections with social media connections, please drop me a line or read some of the articles on my websites (found below).

You see, I believe that if a virtual friend is preventing you have having a real relationship with a human being, then you’re missing out on some of the finest things in life. In fact, I’d say you’re missing out on the purpose of life. It is not good, nor necessary, for anyone to be alone. Yes, real relationships are difficult at times, but anything worthwhile involves time, energy, and sacrifice, and along the way you will experience both the good and the bad. After all, if you didn’t experience the bad, how could you tell when something is good? From the time I graduated from college, my whole professional life, and to some degree, private life has been spent trying to help people improve their relationships with those who matter most to them. That may be a friend, a spouse, a child, an employer, or even a divine being.  If you want to enhance your relationships, I want to help.

My Social Media Channels

TheNexusQuest.com is my latest business project. I’ve been partnering with Shipley/Four Lenses to produce this self-improvement subscription website which helps you put the human back into humanity. If you had to purchase one thing from me, or read (for free) one long-from blog post each week, this is the place to go.

You will find not only a variety of original, validated, personality assessments, and some content I’ve placed in my other books, but you will be able to access a project that I’ve been working on for two years. It is a 52 week educational programs, if you are willing to spend 13 minutes a day watching the videos, reading the articles, and completing the exercises, you will acquire the virtues that make all four temperaments successful in all aspects of life.

Here you will  acquire the emotional self-awareness and self-management aspect of emotional intelligence and acquire the proven behaviors that will take your ability to interact with anyone, anywhere to new heights.  Please, even if you don’t purchase a subscription, please read the free weekly blog on that site. I think it might help.

For those who still use this old but relevant platform, which seems to be those over 30, I post at least 10 times a week here. I try to make everything original and seldom repost something that someone else created. What you see here is authentically Nathan, where I engage with my friends and followers.

I’ve been on here since 2009, and have amassed over 20,000 followers, who for some reason like my clean puns and jokes. If you want at least five tweets a day, so you can groan out loud or plant your face in your palm, feel free to follow me. If you don’t, you will likely be sad and unhappy.

I’m relatively new to Instagram, but try to post some pics or videos at least once a day. Generally it is less busy and less ad-filled than Facebook, and I think I like the simplicity of this format better. Please be my insta-friend. I only post original, family-friendly content.

The jury is still out on this platform which is being  increasingly banned by countries and companies. But this is where the young-uns go for giggles. However, I promise never to wiggle, jiggle, or dance. Just serving up short videos that make you go,”hmmm.”

Here I am more serious and professional, usually posting once a week about work-related content, usually things that make you a better employee or manager. Some of the content I’ve been creating since the 1990s, which has been used successfully by hundreds of companies, will be shared here for free. If you like what you see, I’ll be happy to give your team an in-person or Zoom training, for a reasonable fee, of course.

A company I created back in the mid 1990s, the Insight Learning Foundation, has a page on Facebook where users can interact with me and my colleagues and customers. If you’re interested in learning more about personality styles, feel free to join this page.

On this website, I sell many of my products in print, PDF, and online HTML versions, including several version of my personality assessments. If you want to know if you are a Blue, Gold, Green, and Orange, feel free to check out the dozens of resources here.

Here’s What I’ve Been Doing As an Adult

I know, it looks like a lot, but as an entrepreneur for most of my adult life, I’ve had to learn how to do lots of different, and often very difficult things. Because I love to learn new things, I spend most of my insomnia hours learning and practicing new skills. If I don’t learn something new every day, I consider that day a failure. I guess you could call me an all-around generalist, particularly with things that involve computer technology. If you want to see my current resume, you’ll find it below.
