Deviled Eggs

This classic Deviled Eggs recipe is a timeless favorite that never fails to impress. Made with hard-boiled eggs, a creamy and tangy yolk filling, and a sprinkle of paprika, these deviled eggs are the perfect appetizer for any gathering. The best part? I've simplified the process by using an Instant Pot to perfectly cook the eggs. Whether you're hosting a picnic, a brunch, or a holiday feast, these deviled eggs are a must-have on your menu.

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup of water (for the Instant Pot)
  • bowl of ice water
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip)
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of paprika

Start by placing a cup of water in the bottom of your Instant Pot. Add the metal trivet and arrange the eggs on it, ensuring they’re separated by at least a half inch. Set the Instant Pot for 7 minutes to hard-boil the eggs. Once the cooking is complete, perform a quick release and immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let them chill for 1 minute to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.

After draining the eggs, peel them carefully to avoid damaging the whites. Once peeled, halve the eggs lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl. Using a fork, mash the yolks until they’re crumbly. To the mashed yolks, add the mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip), vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until the yolk filling is smooth and creamy.

Now, it’s time to assemble your deviled eggs. Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture. Be generous with the filling to ensure a flavorful bite. Finally, sprinkle each deviled egg lightly with paprika for a touch of color and a hint of smoky flavor. Your deviled eggs are now ready to serve and enjoy.
