  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 12 ounce box fettuccine pasta
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg


Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the oil, cream, and garlic and simmer for 10 minutes or until thick, stirring occasionally. At the same time, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil and add the pasta. When the sauce has reached your desired consistency, add in the cheeses and stir until smooth, stirring frequently. Add in the black pepper and nutmeg. When the pasta is cooked, drain it. Serve the pasta on plates with the sauce poured over the top. Serves 4.
