Hot Fudge Topping
- 1 cup margarine or butter
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
In a heavy saucepan, combine the butter, sweetened condensed milk, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring continuously until everything is melted and well combined. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
If reheating to serve as a topping, take care to heat it on low heat to avoid scorching. Drizzle the heavenly hot fudge topping over your favorite desserts, such as homemade vanilla ice cream over a warm homemade brownie.
