Rate Card

Pricing ranges for focused AI, training, content, and implementation work.

This page is a planning guide, not a menu of everything I can do. The goal is to help you see the likely size of an engagement before we talk.

Most work is best priced as a fixed-fee project once the scope is clear. Hourly work is available for focused review, troubleshooting, refinement, and smaller support needs.

Where to Start

The first question is what kind of help you need.

If the problem is unclear, start with diagnosis. If the direction is clear, scope a project. If the work continues every month, use a retainer.

Clarify

Diagnose the problem

$750–$5,000

Best for audits, strategy sessions, and workflow reviews when you need to know what is broken, missing, risky, or worth building. Most people start with the AI Human Alignment Audit — often complimentary.

Main service ranges.

These are the public planning ranges I would expect most serious conversations to fall within. Final pricing depends on scope, timeline, complexity, stakeholders, and the amount of hands-on implementation required.

Full-Stack AI Apps & PrototypesTeams that need a working AI-enabled app, internal tool, dashboard, assessment platform, or client-facing prototype.$7,500–$50,000+Small prototypes begin near the lower end. Database-backed systems with authentication, APIs, reports, dashboards, and user roles usually require a larger scope.
Human-Aware AI SystemsOrganizations that want AI outputs, learning paths, messages, or recommendations adapted to different decision styles.Quoted by scopePricing depends on the number of audiences, content paths, logic rules, prompts, reports, integrations, and review cycles.
AI Workshops & CohortsTeams that need practical AI skill building, role-specific exercises, and guided adoption.$1,500–$35,000+Ranges from a 90-minute executive briefing to half-day, full-day, or multi-session implementation cohorts.
Curriculum & Content BuildoutOrganizations turning expertise into courses, facilitator guides, participant materials, articles, scripts, or LMS-ready content.$5,000–$50,000+Pricing depends on the amount of original design, drafting, editing, activity creation, media scripting, and platform preparation required.
Monthly AI RetainerOrganizations that need ongoing strategy, review, implementation, or production support.$3,000–$20,000+/monthAdvisory retainers are lower. Implementation and production retainers require more capacity and are priced accordingly.
Project Work & HourlyFocused support, review, troubleshooting, refinement, or smaller project work that does not need a full engagement.$225/hr standard
$300/hr priority/executive
Best for narrow tasks, not full system builds. App development, curriculum buildout, and large implementation work should usually be scoped as projects.

Pricing Logic

The rates reflect the kind of work being done.

AI consulting can mean anything from a quick advisory call to a full database-backed system. The pricing should match the responsibility, not just the number of hours on a calendar.

Advisory

Use this when the main value is judgment, clarity, prioritization, review, or decision support.

Implementation

Use this when the work creates a working process, tool, content system, app prototype, training system, or production workflow.

Production

Use this when the engagement includes recurring writing, editing, curriculum, media, app, or learning-product development.

Hourly and Day Rates

Hourly work is available when the need is specific.

Hourly support is useful for focused review, cleanup, troubleshooting, and short implementation blocks. It is not the best structure for large projects with a clear deliverable.

Standard

Consulting and implementation support

$225/hour

Best for review, refinement, planning support, content feedback, prompt cleanup, workflow troubleshooting, and practical implementation help.

Priority

Executive strategy or urgent support

$300/hour

Best for time-sensitive decisions, executive review, urgent implementation issues, or work requiring faster turnaround.

Intensive

Focused consulting day

$4,500–$8,500/day

Best for full-day workshops, on-site or virtual intensives, executive planning days, and concentrated implementation sessions. Higher for urgent, on-site, or multi-stakeholder work.

Examples

Common engagement examples.

These examples are not additional service menus. They show how the ranges usually translate into real projects.

Example

AI training for a leadership team

Typical range: $3,500–$6,500

A practical half-day workshop with role-specific use cases, exercises, and recommended next steps.

Example

Workflow review for a training or content team

Typical range: $2,500–$5,000

A review of the current workflow, AI opportunities, quality-control issues, and implementation priorities.

Example

Full-stack AI app prototype

Typical range: $7,500–$25,000+

A usable prototype built with tools such as Google AI Studio, Firebase/Firestore, authentication, APIs, and a focused front-end experience.

Example

AI-assisted course buildout

Typical range: $15,000–$35,000+

Course structure, lesson sequence, activities, facilitator notes, participant materials, quizzes, and LMS-ready content.

How Proposals Work

A rate card is a starting point, not a final quote.

What affects price

  • How clear the problem is at the start.
  • Number of stakeholders, reviewers, audiences, or departments involved.
  • Amount of writing, design, development, training, or production required.
  • Whether the work includes databases, authentication, APIs, reporting, dashboards, or user roles.
  • Timeline, urgency, review cycles, and implementation complexity.

How to choose the pricing model

  • Use fixed-fee pricing when the deliverable is clear.
  • Use hourly support for focused review, troubleshooting, and refinement.
  • Use retainers when the work continues month after month.
  • Selected nonprofit, education, public-safety, and faith-based organizations may qualify for adjusted pricing.
FAQ

Common pricing questions.

Why are the ranges broad?

The same category can describe a small advisory engagement or a much larger implementation project. A simple prototype, for example, is not the same as a database-backed app with authentication, user roles, reporting, and ongoing refinement.

Do you prefer hourly or project pricing?

Project pricing is usually better when the outcome is clear. It keeps the work focused on deliverables instead of hours. Hourly support is still useful for review, troubleshooting, cleanup, and smaller tasks.

Where does full-stack AI app development belong?

Full-stack AI app work belongs under AI Implementation Projects. If the work includes Google AI Studio, Firebase, Firestore, authentication, APIs, databases, dashboards, reports, or client-facing app features, it should usually be scoped as a project.

Is the AI Human Alignment Audit free?

The audit has a $750 diagnostic value and is complimentary for selected qualified organizations. It is application-based because it requires real review time before and during the session. The AI Strategy Session is a separate, always-paid $750 service focused on overall AI direction rather than one piece of content. Apply for the Audit to see if you qualify.

Can a small engagement become a larger project?

Yes. A Strategy Session, Workflow Review, or small hourly engagement may reveal a larger need. If that happens, the next step should be scoped clearly before additional work begins.

Next Step

Not sure which range fits?

Send a note about what you are trying to build, fix, review, or improve. I can usually tell you whether the right path is an audit, a strategy session, a workflow review, a project, a workshop, a retainer, or a smaller hourly engagement. If you are not sure, the Audit is the lowest-friction way to find out — and a limited number each month are complimentary.
