Sticky Fingers Chicken
- 1/3 cup Franks hot sauce
- 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2-3 pounds frozen crispy chicken strips (or chicken tenders)
- oil for deep frying
To prepare the delectable Sticky Fingers Chicken, start by heating the hot sauce, brown sugar, and water in a saucepot until the sugar completely dissolves. Once done, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before adding it to the wings. Alternatively, you can prepare the sauce ahead of time and refrigerate it.
Next, heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375°F. Follow the package instructions to prepare the chicken strips or chicken tenders. For quick thawing, microwave about 10 strips at a time on a plate for a couple of minutes. Then, fry them in oil for a few minutes on each side. Alternatively, you can bake the chicken as directed on the package. You can also use an air fryer, which works just as well.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from heat and place it in a serving bowl. Add the sauce mixture to the bowl and stir everything together. For the best results, avoid pouring warm sauce over the wings. Aim for a nice and thick coating. This mouthwatering dish serves 6-8, making it perfect for sharing and satisfying everyone’s cravings.
